Meaning of Ancient Japanese Patterns

The pattern is composed of small rectangles within large ones, which are meant to resemble metal washers used to pull out nails. The pattern was used to decorate the colleas of scaffolding workers' coats.

Nishijin-ori
Nishijin-ori is a traditional Japanese craft.
It is characterized by its high technical ability and the beauty of its intricate weaving.
Although cloth has been a familiar part of people's lives since ancient times, it has
evolved technologically to express people's sense of beauty.
Using yarn-dyed multicolored thread, many of the traditional patterns are designed with
natural motifs and have a story behind them.
Although it takes time and effort, it is possible to create sophisticated textiles that are
backed by intricate patterns created by advanced technology and history and culture.
It is a material that is ideal for interior decoration as it has a high-quality texture and
durability.
Detailed designs have artistic value.
